Most home offices don't fail because they're badly designed. They fail because life keeps adding to them. Paperwork piles up. Cables tangle. Things that "need a home" end up on the desk because there isn't one yet. Before long, the room you work in is the room you avoid.

I help people across the Wirral, Liverpool, Chester and North Wales get their home offices working again. That means clearing what's built up, dealing with the paperwork that's been sitting there for months, and creating simple systems so it doesn't slide back to where it was.

This is for anyone whose desk has become a dumping ground, anyone with paperwork they're scared to open, and anyone who works from home and has stopped being able to think clearly in their own office.

You don't need to have your filing system figured out before we start. That's what I'm there for.

What to expect

Practical systems that hold up to real working weeks

We start with what's most overwhelming, which for most people is the paperwork. Old bills, bank statements, school letters, tax records, things you weren't sure if you could bin. We sort it together, decide what genuinely needs keeping, and create a simple filing system that takes minutes, not hours, to use.

From there we work on the desk and surrounding space. Cables, stationery, books, anything that's accumulated. Everything gets a place. Things you use daily stay close. Things you use occasionally are stored properly. Things you don't use go.

If you've got tech, devices, or admin you've been putting off, like setting up password managers, sorting digital files, or chasing things that have been sitting on your to-do list, we can talk through what's worth tackling. Some clients want this hands-on. Others just want their physical space sorted and the rest is for them to handle later.

A typical home office session runs 3 to 5 hours. Larger spaces or paperwork-heavy offices may need a second session. If you'd like help removing items, I can take them away for donation, recycling or shredding, paperwork goes to a secure shredder, never the bin.
