Overview

Tidy By KV provides professional decluttering and organising support. I work alongside you to offer practical guidance, structure and encouragement.

All decisions remain entirely with you as the client. You are never required or pressured to part with anything you wish to keep.

Decluttering is a supported decision-making process designed to help you create a more manageable and functional space.


Scope of Service

Tidy By KV is not a cleaning or removal service.

My role is to work alongside you to:

  • declutter and organise your space
  • create simple systems that work for your home and routine

You remain responsible for all decisions regarding what to keep, donate or dispose of.


Liability

While every effort is made to handle your belongings with care, Tidy By KV cannot accept liability for:

  • loss or damage to items during sessions
  • items that are later claimed to have been valuable or wanted after disposal

It is the client's responsibility to ensure appropriate home insurance cover is in place.


Working Environment

Prior to each session, you agree to inform me of any conditions within the home that may pose a risk to health or safety.

Any equipment used (e.g. step ladders) should be safe and suitable for use.


Third Party Services

Where recommendations are made for third-party services (e.g. cleaners, tradespeople, removal services), Tidy By KV is not responsible for their work, availability, or fees.


Confidentiality

All sessions are treated as completely confidential.

Information will only be shared in the following circumstances:

  • With your permission (e.g. before/after photos or testimonials)
  • If there is a concern about risk of harm to yourself or others
  • If you request collaboration with another professional supporting you

Charges & Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking
  • The remaining balance is payable at the end of each session

Session length is agreed in advance. If you request additional time, it will be charged at the standard hourly rate.

Breaks are included within the session time.

For locations outside my usual working area, additional travel costs may apply. These will always be agreed in advance.

Any parking costs incurred during sessions will be added to your invoice.


Cancellations & Changes

  • Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice
  • The booking deposit remains non-refundable
  • Cancellations on the day of the session will be charged in full

Risk & Safety

Decluttering involves physical movement and decision-making within your home environment.

You acknowledge that:

  • you are responsible for your own safety within your space
  • any risks associated with the environment remain your responsibility

Your address will be held securely to allow emergency services to be contacted if ever required.


Final Note

My aim is always to provide a calm, supportive and non-judgemental service, working at a pace that feels manageable for you.

There is no pressure to do everything at once. We simply start where you are.
